Local origin

At The Real, we are committed to the rural and economic development of the areas where we are present. 80% of our raw materials come from local crops in La Rioja, Navarra, and Cuenca. Our goal for the coming years is to increase local sourcing without losing efficiency.

Leaders

The Real Green Food Co. has 8 production centers located in Navarra, La Rioja, and Cuenca, strategic hubs for the agro-industrial sector in Spain. In its centers, it processes more than 49 million kg of vegetables per year and produces more than X units of finished product, which are marketed to more than 1,000 customers in more than 60 countries.

The vegetable unit, located in Navarra, leads the Spanish market in its category under the Gvtarra brand. Each year, it plans more than 21 fresh product campaigns and transforms more than 45 different varieties of vegetables. It works in collaboration with local farmers, which allows more than 80% of the vegetables to be local. In addition, it produces its products in record time: less than 4-6 hours elapse from harvesting to processing.

In legumes, the group has a wide range of portfolio in a variety of legumes and packaging formats. It manufactures both retail and food service formats in different technologies: glass, metal, Tetra Recart, bipacks, and tripacks. This unit has a strong international focus, and its Legumbres Ja’e brand is the second brand at the national level.

The Real Green Food is a key player in the cultivation and marketing of mushrooms in Spain and Europe. It controls the entire value chain of fresh mushrooms and is one of the two national operators that has its own phase III compost plant, manufacturing more than 50,000 tons of germinated compost per year. This integration, from cultivation to distribution, is an additional guarantee for its customers, positioning the group as a reference supplier for the main distribution groups and central markets, both to wholesalers and local businesses.

The logistics center located in Zaragoza, an important hub for intermodal transport, plans and manages the service to the group’s national and international clients. They work with more than 2,200 skus, which they send to clients from different channels: retail, food service, and industry worldwide. All our plants have IFS, BRC, and Global Gap certificates.
